Antique French caned and carved gargoyle gilt bench with hand-carved cabriole legs adorned with gargoyle faces and custom antelope motif upholstered cushion.. Seat is caned with surrounding gilt seat top frame. Front and back center carved pierced shell motif accented with hand-carved acanthus and floral designs. Sides have hand-carved pierced shield design. Bottom cross supports have floral and leaf carvings. Seat measures: 18"H without cushion and 24"H with cushion. No maker’s mark.
