Description
A large antique northern Chinese Ming style kang opium bed, with bulging chow legs and hand-carved frieze in scroll pattern. Born in China during the early years of the 20th century, this exquisite opium bed could be used as a low coffee table. Presenting a rectangular waisted top with central board, the bed attracts our eyes with its delicate apron, adorned on three sides with a hand-carved frieze with scroll patterns. The bed is raised on four Ming style chow legs with horse-hoof extremities.
